Discovering Toronto’s Hidden Murals

Last weekend, Toronto Go hosted a colorful and inspiring Art & Culture Walk dedicated to exploring the city’s hidden murals and street art. Together with a group of curious travelers and local art lovers, we wandered through back alleys, creative districts, and iconic streets filled with color and expression. Each mural told a unique story — from social messages to bold abstract compositions celebrating diversity and freedom.

Guided by our local expert and urban artist Maya L., participants learned how street art in Toronto has evolved from underground graffiti to a recognized form of cultural identity. The tour included stops in Queen Street West, Graffiti Alley, and the Junction, where guests captured vibrant photos and listened to behind-the-scenes stories about the artists and their inspirations.

The atmosphere was filled with creativity and connection — participants shared their impressions, exchanged photography tips, and even tried a bit of spray-painting at a community art wall. Events like these remind us that art truly lives in the streets — open to everyone who takes a moment to look closer. Toronto Go thanks everyone who joined us, and we’re already preparing the next walk to uncover even more of the city’s hidden gems!
